Happy Turkey Day
So I'm swearing in on Wednesday and moving to site later this week. I won't be able to post for a while so in short I am doing well and having fun here. I will be starting work soon as I arrive. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Eat some pie for me and enjoy the cool weather.

Yeah, about those turkeys. They're going for about $50 per bird. I was going to buy just a little itty bitty Butterball, but it was $20 for a turkey. I'd like one of the poultry farmers to explain the huge disparity in price per pound as compared to chickens. I think the Thanksgiving turkey for the homefront tradition is going to have to go by the wayside this year. I can't see spending half a weeks whole grocery bill for one portion of one meal. How's that for commentary on the state of the nation?
